As the afternoon sun casts golden light across the Minaret Kalon and the majestic madrasas surrounding it, it becomes easy to understand why travellers have fallen in love with this city for hundreds of years. Yet Bukhara is more than its architecture. It is the warmth of a shopkeeper inviting you inside for tea. The aroma of traditional plov prepared from family recipes.
